1960's and 1970's Ford and Mercury vehicles came with lower control arm strut rods.  These stock forged steel arms hold the lower control arm and spindle in position and are used to make alignment adjustments.  While the stock strut rods are very strong, they also rely on a soft bushing that dramatically flexes under pressure allowing the lower control arm to move.  That's not good.  Our Adjustable Strut Rod kits provide more adjustment for more alignment capability, particularly positive caster which aids steering.  More important is that these adjustable strut rod kits  make certain the lower control arm stays where it's supposed to. Adjustment is made without disconnecting the strut rod.
